Keith Urban Returning to American Idol for Season 13!

Good news, Keith Urban fans!

At Fox's Television Critics Association presentation, American Idol news was rampant, with Kevin Reilly, entertainment chairman of the Fox Broadcasting Company, dishing on upcoming Season 13 for the singing reality competition show.

According to multiple sources, Kevin confirmed that country superstar Keith will be returning to the judging panel, but that his co-judges have yet to be determined.

"Reilly confirms that @KeithUrban will return to @AmericanIdol: "Keith is a really funny guy"...but no deals with anyone else so far #tcas13," TV Guide tweeted.

This is good news for the show, which has seen ratings steadily declining for the past few seasons. When it was confirmed that Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey were out as judges, America became — and remained — hopeful that Keith would return, as he was definitely the most likable new judge last season and perhaps of the whole panel.

It's smart that Fox will give the people what they want (i.e. Keith), but Kevin also addressed how Idol will refocus this season. "Reilly: #Idol will refocus on the contestants; believes there was too much focus on the judges #tcas13 #fox," TV Guide tweeted.

Even host Ryan Seacrest is a huge fan of Keith's. "He's a great guy, and I've become a very good friend," Ryan said.

With Keith returning, many are wondering who the other judges will be. According to Kevin Reilly, they are still in talks with J. Lo, but nothing has yet to be determined.

Are you excited that Keith will be returning next season? Who do you hope joins his at the judge's table? Hit the comments and sound off below!
