She may still be Miss Independent, but she now has a partner in crime to whom she's lawfully wedded! Kelly Clarkson married Brandon Blackstock yesterday, October 20, in Walland, Tennessee.

"I'm officially Mrs. Blackstock. We got married yesterday at Blackberry Farms in [Tennessee], the most beautiful place ever!" the pop star and American Idol winner tweeted today, October 21.

That "most beautiful place ever" is a luxury hotel and resort occupying 4,200 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains, as its website touts. If this wedding portrait is any indication, it does indeed look like a slice of heaven.

Kelly and her new hubby first started dating in February 2012, becoming engaged ten months later. Brandon is the son of Kelly's manager — and a talent manager in his own right — as well as the stepson of Reba McEntire.

The newlyweds didn't publicize the wedding date or location, but they did tip us off to their intentions on October 17 by obtaining a wedding license.

Kelly also got the Christmas season kicked off early, having released two singles this month from her new holiday album, Wrapped in Red — "White Christmas" and "Underneath the Tree." And we're sure she's looking forward to her first yuletide with a handsome husband!
