Kelly Clarkson took to the Today stage Monday morning, November 25, to perform her latest effort — the single "Underneath the Tree" from her forthcoming Christmas album, Wrapped in Red — but her conversation with Savannah Guthrie veered toward her other production: The pregnancy she announced a week ago today, on November 19.

Kelly wore a shimmery red dress for the occasion, one spacious enough around the midsection to cover up — but just barely — her tiny baby bump.

"I don't know why they call it morning sickness — that's my big joke right now 'cause it's like all day and all night," she quipped. "I'm just looking forward to the second trimester!"

The pop star and American Idol grad, who just married baby daddy Brandon Blackstock on October 20, told Savannah that she'd been positively bursting at the seams with the news but wanted to wait until the pregnancy had progressed a bit.

But after canceling a gig from the aforementioned nausea, she knew she had to go public with her knowledge: "I had to cancel something because I'd been so ill, so I didn't want people to think I was canceling [because] I was lazy or something, so we just told people. But we had a really good reason!"

Too cute, K.Clark! Congrats again to you and your hunky hubby.
