Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock have only been married a month, and yet talk of infidelity and breakups is already swirling. Fed up with the rumor mill, the 31-year-old pop star took to Twitter to decry the (probably) false chatter.

"Keep hearing random rumors of me and Brandon splitting or that's he's cheating on me. Stop with all the lying, please. #aintnobodygottimeforthat," she wrote on December 6.

She elaborated in a subsequent tweet: "False rumors don't bother me and Brandon, but they do affect the lives of our 12-year-old and 7-year-old. They're kids and don't get that people can print lies."

OK, two things. Kelly, you may be selling your kids short! Surely a 12-year-old like your step-daughter Savannah — and maybe even your 7-year-old stepson, Seth — know about tabloids and that not all that's printed is gold. Our hunch ?The tween knows about gossip culture and Kelly's being a little dramatic.

Also, we don't totally buy that false rumors don't bother them. Assuming, of course, that they are humans and not androids, lies bother Kelly and Brandon as much as the rest of us!

In any case, it's good that, as we already know, whatever doesn't kill Kelly makes her stronger.
