Kendra Wilkinson Eliminated! It’s About Time? DWTS Season 12, Week 7

Just when you think you know what’s going to happen, something that was supposed to happen two weeks ago happens.

Kendra Wilkinson & Louis van Amstel were eliminated from Dancing With the Stars Season 12 right after one of their better dances, an elegant Tango to “Jealousy.” Now she’s probably pretty jealous of Romeo Miller, who was already so out the door he was rapidly plugging his upcoming film in case those were the last words he got to say.

Were Romeo & Chelsie Hightower saved out of sympathy for their scoring snafu? Did Kendra’s fans get complacent, assuming she was safe? Were Kirstie Alley & Maksim Chmerkovskiy ever really in jeopardy or is their combined performance power going to propel them into the finale no matter how they dance?

It came down to Kendra & Louis vs. Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas. The late-blooming flower was the one to wilt her way off the dance floor.

Read on for a full recap of the Week 7 Results Show:

Encore dance: Len Goodman said the judges chose Team Chelsea’s Cha-Cha-Cha as the encore dance. We see Chelsea Kane & Mark Ballas, Ralph Macchio & Karina Smirnoff, and Romeo & Chelsie Hightower do their sexy black pleather work again. This dance is much better than the other team’s Cha-Cha-Cha. Why did they get the same scores?

Nicki Minaj performs: The gorgeous green-haired rapper sang "Moment 4 Life" as Lacey Schwimmer, Chelsie Hightower, Kiki Nyemchek, and Sonny Pederson danced. So that means Chelsie had to learn three dances this week — the team Cha-Cha-Cha, her Samba with Romeo, and this dance. Go girl!

Ballerina Patricia Zhou: In the first "Spotlight Segment" of the season, we met a 17-year-old ballerina named Patricia Zhou, who has only been ballet dancing for four years. Patricia currently studies at the prestigious Kirov Academy of Ballet and has just been accepted at the Royal Ballet of London.

Wayne Brady performs: This week's "Macy's Stars of Dance" was a tribute to the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, in celebration of what would’ve been his 78th birthday. (It’s also Cheryl Burke’s birthday!) Wayne Brady starred in the number, which was choreographed by creative directors Kevin and Marcel Wilson. James Brown’s grandkids were in the audience in celebration.

Pros talk to partners: The six couples sat down and discussed what they need to do to advance. It’s like a meeting with your boss, trying to find a way to get a raise. The pros also asked the celebs what they wanted from them, their leaders. Kirstie wants more validation. Kendra wants Louis to keep pushing her. Chelsea likes how Mark always keeps it fun, even though the time commitment is going to double and triple. Hines says Kym is choreographing hard routines for him.

James Blunt performs: The guy who put “You’re Beautiful” in our heads for what seems like forever has a new song out called "I'll Be Your Man.” In honor of "Ballroom Greats" week, Amateur US Latin champions Val Chmerkovskiy (Maks's brother!) and his partner Daria Chesnokova danced. Val is cute. If there’s ever another opening for a new pro, pick him! James Blunt isn’t bad either.

Who goes home? In a surprising move, Romeo & Chelsie were declared safe, leaving Kendra & Louis, Kirstie & Maks, and Chelsea & Mark as the three couples “in jeopardy.” Len said Kirstie needs to become more consistent. He said Kendra was a late-blossoming girl. Len said Chelsea is one of the most talented girls of the show and he’d be shocked if she were not to return. Kirstie & Maks were declared safe, leaving Kendra vs. Chelsea.

Kendra’s parting words: She thanked Louis for sticking with her and not fighting her. (She did all the fighting with Carrie Ann Inaba!) She was proud of lasting seven weeks and Louis was proud of her, too. “Baby Hank, I’m coming home for you,” Kendra said. She may not be the best dancer, but she is the best mom. Awww!
