Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes made big promises during the Season 6 Reunion of Real Housewives of Atlanta, but so far, their promises were all talk and no action. Now, a recent tweet from Kenya has brought the topic back to the forefront, but we still don't have any word on whether or not Kenya and NeNe will come through with their end of the deal.
During the reunion, NeNe offered to give a charity of Kenya's choice $20K, if and only if Kenya matched that $20K with a check of her own.
"Let's put our differences aside for a day of charity. You pick the charity of your choice. I will donate $20,000, and you match me. You donate 20 [thousand] along with me. How about that? $20K. You ready? Name the charity, and let's go," NeNe challenged.
Kenya accepted the offer and named Detroit Public Schools Foundations as the charity, but their president revealed that they had yet to hear anything about the money, let alone receive any funds from either of the women.
Now, instead of letting the situation fade away, Kenya posted about JP Morgan Chase’s pledge to the same foundation, as if she has something to do with that donation.
"So happy of the possibilities presented by @jpmorgan @Chase for their $100M pledge to #Detroit. The road to rebuilding starts with one step," Kenya wrote.
It didn't take long for her followers to start wondering where her pledge was and if she and NeNe had written checks yet. Kenya has stayed mum ever since, but we do find it odd that she would choose to post this information without a follow-up about her own promise.
