Kenya Moore Says NeNe Leakes Is “Clearly Threatened” by Her (VIDEO)

Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes’s relationship is a compelling one. On one hand, the Real Housewives of Atlanta co-stars clearly dislike one another, with NeNe accusing Kenya of being “crazy.” But at the same time, Mrs. Leakes says she understands Kenya’s purpose on the Bravo reality show. But what does the former Miss USA really think of everything the OG Hotlanta lady has to say about her?

For one, she has no interest in coming between NeNe and now-ex-bestie Cynthia Bailey. During her one-on-one with Andy Cohen on May 11, Kenya explained that all of the blame for the end of that friendship lies on NeNe herself.

“I have better things in my life than to try to tear down relationships,” she told the host. “I have said 100 times, I think that a friendship is one of the most valuable things that you can have in life, a true friend. And Cynthia certainly was a true soldier for NeNe. She was her biggest cheerleader and her biggest supporter. The fact that NeNe would say that I’m trying to come between her and Cynthia is really silly. NeNe is coming between her and Cynthia. It’s not me.”

Andy also quizzed Kenya about what she thinks NeNe so dislikes about her, to which she quickly responded, “I think NeNe is very threatened by me.” But why is NeNe threatened?

“Since I arrived on the show and the fact that the ratings have been through the roof and I’ve gotten a lot of attention,” Kenya detailed. “Maybe she does not have the career she thought she would have, and her focus is solely on Real Housewives. I think that she’s just clearly threatened by my existence on the show, and it’s really sad because I was a good friend to her.”

Wow, Kenya. We’re impressed at your ability to toot your own horn, while simultaneously throwing shade. That’s some clever work right there.

Andy did bring up the fact that NeNe threw Kenya a bone during her one-on-one, stating that she would keep the pageant queen on the show if she were a Bravo exec — for the sheer craziness of it all. With that, Kenya said she chose to only see the compliment in it.

“She said, ‘She’s great for the show,’” Kenya pointed out. “Everybody knows that the ratings say that I’m great for the show. We don’t need NeNe to say it. The ratings say it.”

Time will tell if the Powers That Be at the cable network agree!
