Kenya Moore Reaches Out to Phaedra Parks After Apollo Nida’s Sentencing: “I Have to Wish Her Well”

Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks have one of the nastiest feuds in Real Housewives history — starting wih their dueling booty workout DVDs and worsening when Phaedra found out Kenya was texting her husband, Apollo Nida — so when Apollo was sentenced to eight years in jail for identity theft and bank fraud, all eyes turned to Kenya to see how she’d react.

Shortly before Apollo reached a plea deal with prosecutors in May, Kenya said she was certain the Househusband was headed to the clink, but now that the worst has happened, the former beauty queen is trying to be as kind as she can to her enemy and her family. When one of Kenya’s Twitter followers asked her if she was going to reach out to Phae-Phae, Kenya responded, “Yes I have to wish her well.”

And even when another follower tried to bait Kenya by asking her if she was going to use Apollo’s prison sentence to “terrorize” Phaedra during filming for Season 7 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, which coincidentally began yesterday, Kenya held her ground. “Come on that’s silly,” she shot back.

When yet another follower straight-up asked Kenya what she thought of her former texting partner’s eight-year prison sentence, she kept things surprisingly clean, writing back, “I don't. I try to only worry about my damn self.”

To be honest, we’re pleasantly surprised by how nicely Kenya has handled Apollo’s latest legal development. Yes, we still think there was something inappropriate going on between the father of two and the former Miss USA back in L.A. all those months ago, but Phaedra really let Kenya have it in numerous verbal attacks on her character, and this was an easy opportunity for Kenya to respond in kind.

Kenya’s kinder outlook may have something to do with her new philosophy. “You can't kick someone while they are down even if they fell trying to trip you. Offer them a hand instead. #killthemwithkindness,” she also tweeted yesterday. Even though the tweet mentions no one in particular, it’s pretty clear Kenya is referring to Phaedra and Apollo’s current situation.

Finally, having likely received many tweets and questions about Apollo sentencing, Kenya seemingly concluded her thoughts on the subject manner by tweeting, “I honestly don’t have an opinion either way.”

Are you surprised that Kenya has plans to reach out to Phaedra? Do you think her supportive words for the family will last long? Tell us your thoughts below!
