We hope Kerry Washington can handle a screwdriver, cuz she’s going to need some more shelves for all the trophies she keeps racking up! The Scandal star, who plays Washington, D.C. fixer Olivia Pope on the Shonda Rhimes show, has already received a Golden Globe nomination and been named Time’s #2 most influential character of the year. And now, TV Guide has gone and honored her some more!

On December 19, the TV-loving mag named Kerry as the TV Star of the Year for 2013, and it’s well-deserved, if you ask us. It’s been a big year for her, both on- and off-screen, with her announcement that she was secretly married and pregnant, due in the spring of 2014. Plus, she’s seen her ABC show top the ratings charts all season. With an average of 12.5 million viewers tuning in each week, it has a top 3 spot in the coveted 18-49 demographic.

Basically, Kerry Washington is winning at everything this year, and for good reason. Her TV persona is a powerful woman who mentors her fellow men and women, strikes fear into the hearts of her enemies, and has to beat suitors off with a stick. If it weren’t for the part where Olivia Pope sometimes almost gets killed, we’d want to be her. But as Kerry seems to be doing it all just fine, we’ll leave our white hats on the hook where they belong, and continue to cheer her on.

Congratulations, Kerry! You deserve it!
