Kesha to Guest Star on ‘Nashville’ Amid Dr. Luke Controversy
Kesha’s “Crazy, Beautiful” career is going full steam ahead, no matter the controversy around her lawsuit against Dr. Luke.
Well, her acting career is at least. The singer-sometimes-actress has scored a gig on Nashville.
The ABC show has invited the 29-year-old Nashville, Tennessee native on for a one-episode stint, where she will play herself, The Hollywood Reporter writes.
It’s unknown which Season 4 episode will host the embattled musician, who’s trying to get out of her contract with alleged abuser, producer Dr. Luke. But it will air sometime after the March 16 midseason premiere this upcoming week.
Kesha’s Nashville appearance will follow her TV guest star debut on The CW's Jane the Virgin, where she played an annoying, noisy neighbor earlier this season.
But the “Tik Tok” performer isn’t the only real-life crooner who’s been invited to the Alphabet’s country fried drama.
Up-and-coming country singers Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett will also appear as themselves in the back-half of the season with one-episode cameos.
None of the three newly announced guest stars will show up in the same hour.
The series has invited other A-listers like Christina Aguilera, Kellie Pickler, and Brad Paisley to grace their set before, so the trio is in great company!
Nashville airs its midseason premiere Wednesday, March 16 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
