With their baby girl due any day now, this past holiday season was Kevin and Danielle Jonas’ last one without kids. So they did what any expectant parents would do: relax and savor the calm while they could.
While they’re waiting for their bundle of joy to arrive, they’ve been busy documenting all the special moments of Danielle’s pregnancy through Dreft’s new app, “Amazing Baby Days,” which stores pictures, notes and milestones for new and expecting moms and dads. In an exclusive conversation with Wetpaint Entertainment, Kevin and Danielle filled us in on their mellow holiday and explained why they’re such huge fans of the app.
Wetpaint Entertainment: Tell us how you two spent the holidays.
Danielle: Since I can’t fly anymore, we had to stay local so we were here with my parents.
Kevin: We usually have Christmas at our place, but didn’t because we’re in the midst of building a new house. We also wanted to take the pressure off Danielle, so we were like, ‘We’re not doing anything. We’re going to keep it low key.’ We have something big to look forward to and we’re just focused on that.
What do you love about the “Amazing Baby Days” app?
Danielle: Dreft launched this app for mothers and expectant mothers – any kind of mothers. It’s a great way to catalog anything that goes one with your pregnancy and then after. For us, we were already taking so many pictures to remember this moment and that moment and now this puts it into one place for us.
Kevin: Even with the registry, helping remind us who gave us what gift, it’s incredible. At the end, it puts it together into a digital book that you can share with everyone. And that, to us is perfect. It’s what we were trying to do already, but it’s being done in one place.
You’re having a girl – what are you looking forward to most about that?
Danielle: I’m looking forward to all the outfits.
Kevin: It’s actually harder to shop for a girl than a boy these days.
Danielle: They have a lot of cute outfits for boys, but for girls…
Do you have a name yet? Do you want to share it?
Danielle: We do, we have the name.
Kevin: I want to share it, but I won’t!
