Kevin McHale Rumored to Be Joining Cast of “They Might Be Kennedys”

Now that Glee has an approximate end date of sometime in Spring 2015, the cast is really starting to branch out and prep for their post-Glee days. Lea Michele (Rachel) has said that when the show is over she has plans to tour her album, Louder, Amber Riley (Mercedes) has promised to finally finish her long-awaited record, and now it sounds like Kevin McHale (Artie) may be readying to tackle an indie film role.

Per, Kevin may have been cast in the indie film, They Might Be Kennedys. He was listed on the site as part of the movie’s cast yesterday, May 27, though his name and his character’s name — “Teddy Mulligan/Kennedy Ted” have since been removed. Since the movie is still in pre-production, it’s possible Kevin is still involved with the project but simply hasn’t finalized anything quite yet.

IMDb also notes that the John Burgess-helmed flick is set to star Aaron Tveit, Neal McDonough, and Robert Belushi.

The comedy’s synopsis is as follows: “In the summer of 1989, two twenty somethings, looking to escape their dead end lives, pretend to be Kennedys to pick up girls and party like Cape Cod royalty. Based on True Events.”

With his sweet smile, dark hair, and blue eyes, Kev certainly looks like someone who could be pretending to be a Kennedy, but we’ll have to wait and see if his role in this movie is confirmed. Do you think this sounds like a good project for Kevin to take on? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!

Glee Season 6 is expected to debut in 2015.
