Keyshia Cole Responds to Husband Refusing to Divorce Her

It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday — after for Keyshia Cole’s estranged hubby, Daniel “Boobie” Gibson. After being alerted to an imposter filing divorce papers in his name, Daniel told TMZ that Keyshia would have to be the first person to file the real divorce papers because he believed in his wedding vows. So, just what does Keyshia think about it? On a recent radio interview with The Breakfast Club, Keyshia said that Daniel needs to get over it and move on.

“I don’t know what that stems from,” Keyshia started, adding, “if you really feel like that in heart in your heart and soul as a man, as a person, as a father… I know people make mistakes, but you you know you gotta think about those things because ultimately not worth it.”

Keyshia went on to say that while Boobie has admitted to his wrong doings, “there’s a lot of admitting and a lot of doing wrong and it just gets tired,” adding that she’s not even considering reconciling. In fact, Keyshia’s so past her relationship with Boobie, that she wants him to move on too.

“Recently I told him I hope you really find that woman and you be good to her,” she admitted. Though neither party has officially drafted up the divorce papers, they’re apparently already thinking of being other people. According to Keyshia, he’s still playing the field while she’s not dating, but would “like to date.”

The singer, who has a new album coming out any day now, even has a new outlook on love since her semi-tragic marriage and said, “I want whoever the guy is that I end up with forever, I want him to be my best friend.”

Good luck, Keyshia. We wish you the best!
