Khloe Kardashian’s life may have taken an unexpected turn over the last year as her marriage to Lamar Odom began to crumble in the wake of cheating and drug abuse allegations, but the newly single 29-year-old says that, despite her heartbreak, she’s putting the past behind her and not sweating her mistakes.
In a new Cosmopolitan interview (via Us Weekly) conducted by Khloe’s momager, Kris Jenner, the reality star reveals that she’s moving on with her life and feeling more optimistic about her future each day.
“I have no regrets,” says Khloe. “I live for the moment. If you think too far in the future, you might get disappointed or set the bar too low. It sucks at times, but everything happens for a reason, no matter how s—y your circumstances are.”
Although the formerly baby-crazy star may not have a partner at the moment, she still hasn’t given up on her dream of becoming a mother one day. “I hope and pray I have kids when the time is right,” she reveals.
While Khloe says she still has “no idea” where she wants her life to take her, she’s focusing on finding joy again. “I just know that I want to be happy and smiling," she says.
