After finding herself in hot water for wearing a Native American headdress at North West’s birthday party, Khloé Kardashian has finally broken her silence on the issue — on Twitter.
One of her followers offered to teach her more about the Shinnecock history, and Khloé took kindly to that suggestion.
“@lmvotino thanku 4being 1of the ONLY people who care enough 2educate rather than threaten/attack. Ur culter is beautiful &I would love2learn,” Khloé said in response.
Well, we’re glad Khloé is acknowledging her mistake and making an effort to take constructive criticism. We will have to see if the reality star takes her follower up on that offer to learn more about the Native American culture.
Khloé isn’t the only celebrity to come under scrutiny after posting a picture wearing Native American costumes. Back in 2012 Karlie Kloss found herself in a huge controversy after sporting a floor-length headdress in Victoria Secret’s big fashion show. Pharrell Williams also recently sparked angry feedback for his Elle UK July 2014 issue featuring him in a headdress as well — which he then apologized for.
What do you think about Khloé’s recent blunder? Do you think she’s handling all the backlash well, or do you think she should issue a more formal apology? Let us know in the comments below!
