Kim D. tells In Touch that she thinks Teresa may have been too busy with her own life to really be aware of decisions Joe was making with the family's finances.
"I’m not slamming Joe, but I truly still stand firm that Teresa was having babies and going for lunch and having fun [and didn’t know] what she was signing," Kim says.
Hmmm. We wonder if this is indeed true. Teresa did plead guilty to some of the charges, but it is true that Joe is more likely than she is to get jail time. Teresa may end up with only probation or may get one to two years in jail, whereas Joe may get more like three to four years.
So it's hard to know if Kim's hunch is right. But we wonder if it would be possible for Teresa to not know anything about the crimes. And would she have pleaded guilty if she wasn't aware of what was going on? We're not sure. It's possible; perhaps her lawyers advised her that a plea deal was the safest bet regardless.
What do you think of Kim's belief that Teresa didn't know she was doing anything wrong?
