Kim Fields isn’t apologizing to anyone for her behavior during the Washington, D.C. trip featured on last Sunday’s episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Phaedra Parks organized an adventure to our nation’s capitol for Kim, Porsha Williams, Sheree Whitfield, and their sons, but things got tricky for Kim when her young boys — Sebastian 8, and Quincy, 2 — weren’t exactly eager to partake in an adult conversation about race in America.

During a planned meeting with Congresswoman Wilson, the mom of two found the subject matter too advanced for her kids and escorted them outside so she could explain things in a way they’d better understand.

“I thought she was engaging, insightful, and passionate about her inspiring work not only in Congress but with her foundation,” Kim writes of Congresswoman Wilson in her latest BravoTV.com blog.

At another point during the trip, the 46-year-old walked away from a meal Phaedra planned with various members of Congress because it was Quincy’s nap time. She was also unable to attend the majority of the Million Man March because she had a charity function to get to, but the former child actress still has no regrets about the moving and informative journey.

“Nothing but wonderful things have come from the D.C. trip! I'm delayed getting this out today because I was just with Congresswoman Wilson at her event where she honored me and my family,” Kim explains.

“PS: The charity event I hosted that night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk was amazing. Over a million dollars was raised!”

We understand why some of the women saw Kim’s actions as disrespectful, but we’re glad she was able to get all she could out of the Washington trip.
