Being a mother has really changed how Kim Kardashian sees the world.
The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star took to her blog on Wednesday to discuss how raising her daughter North West has really opened her eyes to a world that “isn’t always so pretty.”
Kim discusses the problem of racism and discrimination and how she has recently experienced incidents that sickened her and made her take notice. She addresses how she never used to see these problems as something that concerned her, but now she realizes these problems affect all people.
“I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don’t have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the color of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation,” Kim wrote on her Celebuzz blog. “I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing.”
Kim also adds how she wants to speak out for those people who can’t and “ensure that hate is something our children never have to see.”
