Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Treat Alton Sterling’s Son to VIP 16th Birthday


If you were expecting Kim Kardashian's return to social media to involve a glossy spread in People with a carefully posed and lit photoshoot with perfect makeup and clothes, you were way off base.

Instead, she resurfaced makeup-free in a hoodie and baseball cap. With her were her husband  Kanye West and Cameron Sterling, eldest son of Alton Sterling — the 37-year-old man fatally shot by police in Baton Rouge on July 5.

The photo isn't even on Kim's social media pages, which have been dormant since her October 3 robbery (save for some pre-scheduled promotional posts that were quickly deleted).

In a pic captured and tweeted by Sterling family lawyer Justin Bamberg, the couple flank the newly minted 16-year-old, who is wearing a Saint Pablo Tour VIP badge.

Kanye, 39, is completing a three-day stop at The Forum in Inglewood, California, and it looks like he and Kim invited Cameron as their special guest for the November 1 performance.

Kim gave voice to her feelings on police violence and the Black Lives Matter movement in a lengthy blog post this summer after the deaths of Alton and another unarmed man, Philando Castile, in St. Anthony, Minnesota.

"I want my children to grow up knowing that their lives matter," she said of her daughter North, 3, and son Saint, 10 months. "Hashtags are not enough. This must end now."

We hope Kim continues to use her platform to elevate worthy causes and give voice to those who might otherwise go unheard.
