Kim Kardashian Accidentally Reveals The Sex of Baby No. 3 on ‘Ellen’ (VIDEO)
North and Saint are officially getting a little sister!
Kim Kardashian West stopped by Ellen DeGeneres's show to promote her KKW Beauty brand's new line of fragrances, but not before talking to the host about her impending arrival.
And in telling what she thought was a cute story, she accidentally let slip that her surrogate is carrying a baby girl. Whoops!
We learned in June that Kim and husband Kanye West had hired a surrogate to carry their third child, since Kim experienced complications with her first two pregnancies and was advised by doctors not to try and have another baby on her own.
Once word got out, Kim has been open about the family's new addition, rumored to be due in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
And when telling Ellen about the baby shower she celebrated this past weekend, she accidentally let it slip that her kids are getting a "baby sister."
"I thought I really do want to have a baby shower, because I want [North] to feel that something's coming, and for her to really understand it," the reality star said of daughter North, 4, and the weekend's cherry blossom-themed soiree.
"So people brought toys and gifts, and she was opening them all up the next day and she said, 'mom, you know since baby sister is not here, I think I need all of her toys in my room, and I'll play with them and make sure they are all okay for baby sister."
Ellen then laughed that Nori is a "toy-tester" — and pointed out that Kim spilled the beans!
"I guess I did," Kim laughed. "It's a girl!"
"North is really excited about that," she said, adding it had been "a little trickier" to get her excited about brother Saint before his 2015 birth.
The mom of two stayed coy, however, on her sisters Kylie Jenner's and Khloe Kardashian's rumored pregnancies, saying they vowed not to talk to the press about each other. Ok, sure.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview Kimmy compared the surrogacy experience to carrying the baby herself.
"I think it is so much harder to go through it this way, because you are not really in control," she told Entertainment Tonight.
"And, you know, obviously you pick someone that you completely trust and that you have a good bond and relationship with, but it is still ... knowing that I was able to carry my first two babies and not, you know, my baby now, it's hard for me. So, it's definitely a harder experience than I anticipated just in the control area."
Well, it seems like Kimye is doing everything they can to keep their older kids involved in their new baby sister's life — can't wait to meet the little cutie!
