Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to Marry at Florence’s Forte di Belvedere (VIDEO)
We’ll always have … Florence? It looks as though Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have officially abandoned their dreams of tying the knot in the City of Lights, but that doesn’t mean the couple won’t be doing things in over-the-top style for their big day.
Kim and Kanye, whose plans for the wedding were recently rerouted to Florence, may not have been able to book Versailles for their wild wedding, but they got the next best thing: the Forte di Belvedere, an elegant 16th century fort adjacent to the city’s famed Ponte Vecchio.
Us Weekly reports that the couple will shell out $410,000 to rent out the Fort for their wedding on Saturday, May 24, and, despite the wedding being more than a week away, set-up is well underway for their big day.
While Florence may be known for its stunning art, Kimye has reportedly contracted their own visionary, L.A.-based artist Vanessa Beecroft, to display her works throughout the fort.
As for the reason the couple decided to switch up the city for their venue? For the romantic memories of their sexual escapades there, of course!
Kanye confessed to La Nazione newspaper that he and Kim are big fans of Florence because they’re pretty sure that’s where they conceived daughter North.
Aww … and eww.
Do you think it’s romantic or tacky for Kim and Kanye to get married where North was conceived?
