Kim Kardashian Won’t Use Kanye West’s Last Name Professionally — Report
From reality shows to diet pills, it’s clear there’s nearly nothing the Kardashian name can’t sell, so what will happen now that Kim Kardashian has taken Kanye West last name?
Kim announced prior to her wedding that she had plans to become Kim Kardashian West — a name she’s now using on her social media accounts — but her decision to follow through on the name change has apparently sparked major concern with her mother, Kris Jenner, who is terrified Kim’s choice could damage the family brand.
“There is no way Kris would ever give her blessing for the main cash cow of the Kardashian empire, to not continue to use that name professionally,” a Kardashian insider reveals to RadarOnline.com.
While Kris has taken the name of both of her husbands, and seemed to put up little fight when daughter Khloe Kardashian tacked estranged hubby Lamar Odom’s last name onto her own, it’s clear that the Kim Kardashian brand is still the family’s main source of fortune and fame.
Despite Kim’s choice to add “West” to her social media accounts already, we're hesitant to believe that anyone will think of her as anything but Kim Kardashian. You know what they always say — nothing’s official in a marriage until you hit the 72-day mark, anyway.
Do you think Kim should use Kanye’s last name professionally?
