Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Make a TON of Money Selling Off Their Bel-Air Home
The famous husband and wife are about to pocket a pretty penny by selling off one of their two Hollywood mansions, proving their business sense is just as impressive as is their level of fame.
And sure, it's no $150 million Keeping Up With The Kardashians deal, but this one's not too shabby!
The parents of North, 4, and Saint, 2, have been the proud owners of two sprawling California mansions, one of which they were living in and the other of which they were renovating and hoping to sell.
And it looks like the latter of the two homes has finally found a buyer.
Kimye has sold their 9,000 square foot home in the gated community of Bel-Air Crest for $17.8 million, TMZ reports, making it the area's most expensive sale ever.
The couple purchased the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom house in 2013 for about $10 million, and soon after knocked it down entirely and rebuilt it as a "modern, minimalist home."
Now this is how house-flipping is done, folks!
Sources say Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles's Josh and Matt Altman represented both sides in the sale, so clearly they're doing something right here, too.
The West family, who are expecting their third child via surrogate in just a few weeks, did live in the Bel-Air home for a short amount of time before selling it off, though they eventually purchased a second, larger house in Hidden Hills for $20 million — closer to Kris Jenner, natch — after they had kids.
"After you have a baby, you realize that you need so many other things and a different kind of space. So being in the city is a different life," Kim told People at the time.
"We wanted to be away and have more privacy."
But even without this huge real estate deal, Kim and Kanye are doing just fine financially.
Kim's beauty line, KKW Beauty, sold out and made millions in just minutes after its debut.
The rapper, meanwhile, has a successful high-end clothing line, Yeezy, as well as his own line of sought-after sneakers.
Of course there's also the 37-year-old's endless amount of business opportunities with her sisters and the aforementioned $150 million KUWTK deal, which guarantees at least another five seasons of the family's hit E! series.
Must be nice!
KUWTK airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on E!.
