They’re both rich, famous, and not everyone’s cup of tea, but a new billboard comparing Kim Kardashian to a world-reviled dictator seems more than a bit harsh.
Entertainmentwise reports that the billboard, which popped up in Los Angeles recently as an ad for MailOnline, the website of notoriously sensationalistic British paper The Daily Mail , shows Kim’s face next to a picture of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, along with the words, “The Kims. They’re on the same page.”
While they both have similar names, famous, deceased fathers, have some very close relationships with American athletes, we can hardly imagine that Kim is finding the comparison particularly apt or flattering.
Although the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star hasn’t made her feelings about the dig public yet, we can’t imagine the issue hasn’t been in the back of her — or her lawyers’ — minds.
While it seems like a whole lot of stress that Kim and Kanye don’t need as they’re getting ready for their wedding, if they do take legal action about the offensive ad, they won’t be the first celebrities to have their day in court with the Daily Mail.
In January of this year, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling sued the Mail’s publisher, Associated Newspapers, for claiming her fellow churchgoers had shunned her when she was a single mother.
Do you think Kim should take legal action about the billboard, or should she prove she’s a good sport by letting it stay up?
