Kim Kardashian Explains North West’s Corset Amidst Backlash
Not everything is always as it seems.
Fans and news outlets were quick to criticize the reality star for putting her daughter in what looked like a corset.
Earlier this week, the 4-year-old and her mommy stepped out in New York City.
North was wearing an peach dress with a white corset on top.
Kim, who has advertised waist trainers in the past, was quickly jumped on for seemingly trying to do the same to her daughter.
Many doctors have warned against the use of waist trainers as they can be very dangerous to your internal organs.
But the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star was not going to let her fans think she'd make little North partake in this activity.
She tweeted out a video to explain that it was just a dress with a corset-style front.
I would never put my daughter in a corset! It's a dress I bought that is a cotton fabric that laces up & looks like a corset! Just decoration pic.twitter.com/hZzZLs04sMKim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) July 13, 2017
In the video, she added, “This dress that I did not design, I actually bought, is not a real corset it’s just fabric on the front. So, I think it’s really cute, I bought it from a designer and it’s just fabric people, it’s not a real corset.”
North's outfits have made headlines in the past.
In 2015, she was photographed in a crystal fox fur coat that was estimated to cost $3,500, which caused an uproar.
This defense comes right after the mother of two had to make it clear to the media that she was not a cocaine user.
After a Snapchat of her had what looked to be white lines on a table, she told her fans that it was just a marble table and not drugs.
The curvy entrepreneur does not play around when it comes to accusations about how she is as a mother.
You can always expect her to shut down any rumors when it comes to how she parents her babies.
