Even before North West was a day old, numbers were flying about how much weight mama Kim Kardashian had gained during her difficult pregnancy. Was it 20 pounds? 30? 40 but mainly water weight? It was anybody’s guess, with Kim purposefully keeping out of the spotlight and staying quiet in the months immediately after Nori’s arrival.
Now four months later, Kim’s back. With a ring on her finger, the curvy, petite (she’s 5-foot-3) reality TV star is ready to talk baby weight and her struggle to lose it. But how much did Kim actually gain? According to her interview with People magazine, the final number was — drumroll please — 50 pounds.
Did you win your office betting pool? Know it all along? Well, virtual high five for that but don’t expect to see Kim rocking the extra weight. Girlfriend’s already lost 43 pounds, putting her just a mere seven pounds away from returning to her pre-Nori number. How’d she do it? Through a combination of dedicated dieting and exercising as well as giving herself room to just enjoy being a mom.
“I feel so accomplished that I did this,” she tells People of shedding the weight. Congratulations, Kim! (It seems like we’ve been saying that a lot lately…)
