We’ve heard so much about Kanye West’s epic proposal to girlfriend Kim Kardashian on October 21, it’s almost like we were there, walking out onto the dark AT&T Stadium in San Francisco, hearing the orchestra begin to play, watching the fireworks explode, and witnessing momager Kris Jenner cry happy tears of PR bliss as she plans the biggest wedding since, well, Kim’s last wedding.
Now we can check just how spot on our imaginings were thanks to a newly released video of the big moment. Before you jump to the same conclusions we did, no, this is not a professional quality, E! sponsored video. Rather, it’s grainy, cell phone-esque footage but hey, un-invited guests can’t be choosey, right?
In the video, courtesy of MixBit and, Us Weekly reports, shot by YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley, a pyrotechnics show lights up the darkened stadium where, in the middle of the field, stand a teeny-tiny Kim and a teeny-tiny Kanye.
The 50-piece orchestra begins to play as the camera focuses in on the couple. Kanye gets down on one knee, says a private message to Kim, who, clearly blown away by the whole thing, leans toward him for a hug and kiss. Cheering starts at what is so obvious a yes to Kanye’s very important question and the couple’s family and friends rush the field.
Interestingly, the video confirms that a professional camera crew was on scene though there’s no telling if they’re affiliated with E! and/or if the footage will ever make Keeping Up With The Kardashians. At least we’ll always have this.
