Most engagement parties are intimate affairs with a few drinks, a few gifts, and a whole lot of oohing and aahing over the shiny rocks that have just been bestowed upon the soon-to-be bride.
Byt when you’re Kim Kardashian, a proposal doesn’t even count unless you’ve commandeered a stadium, put a diamond the size of a baby’s fist on your hand, and had YouTube’s co-founder tape the whole thing, because nothing says romance like a tech millionaire watching your special moments from behind a camera lens.
While Kanye kept the guest list for the 50-person event to the most elite (and eccentric) group of friends and family, plenty of Kardashian insiders were seemingly left out of the celebration.
Check out the list of invitees, courtesy of MTV, below:
Jaden Smith — Kylie Jenner’s rumored beau made it to the party, despite it being a school night. What a rebel. Swoon!
Robin Antin — The Pussycat Dolls founder did not perform any of her trademark moves, but there’s always the wedding for that.
Jonathan Cheban — Kim’s BFF, and excellent candidate for fourth husband.
Lorraine Schwartz — Armenian custom dictates that an engagement party always include mother, and in lieu of a father, the couple’s ring designer.
Other guests included San Francisco Giants CEO Larry Baer, designer Rachel Roy, Girls Gone Wild skeezer Joe Francis, YouTube co-founder/freelance videographer Chad Hurley, Vogue Italia contributor Rushka Bergman, and assorted family members.
Do you think Kanye should have invited more of Kim’s family to the party? Who are you surprised to see left off the guest list?
