Hollywood celebs from Kim Kardashian to Oprah Winfrey came out in full force to say goodbye to Jay Leno, who officially ended his on-off run as the host of The Tonight Show on February 6. As part of his send-off, comedy legend Billy Crystal assembled a troupe called the “Shut Your Von Trapp Family Singers” to serenade the talk show host.

The star-studded ensemble included the singing talents —some with air quotes, some without — of Kim, Jack Black, L.A. Clippers point guard Chris Paul, Sheryl Crow, Jim Parsons, Carol Burnett, and Oprah. In a parody version of “So Long, Farewell” from The Sound of Music, Kim sang, “So long, farewell, last night I told my fo-olks, now I won’t be the butt of Leno’s jokes.”

Jay has definitely taken a few swings at Kim and her family in the past, but the Kardashians are far from being the late night king’s No. 1 target. An official tally of Leno’s jokes from the Center for Media and Public Affairs at George Mason University ranks Kim at No. 20, with Bill Clinton and George W. Bush at the very top.

As for Kim’s singing abilities? We have to say, we were mildly impressed, considering our best frame of reference is her highly autotuned single “Jam (Turn It Up)”. We definitely put her in the middle on a scale of Sheryl Crow to Jim Parsons, the latter of whom basically spoke his part.

Listen for yourself and tell us what you think. Does Kim have a future recording with Kanye West, or should she stick to what he says is her true talent: being beautiful?
