Marriage may be old hat for Kim Kardashian (and everyone who attended her first two weddings) at this point, but loyalty to first-time groom Kanye West is still getting the even the most reluctant guests to check “yes” on their RSVP cards.
The couple, who are reportedly making things legal on May 24 in Paris, have already established some serious ground rules for their big day (including a no cell phone policy), but it looks as though they’ll have to break them if they want the biggest names on their list to attend.
The two most hesitant guests thus far are Jay Z and Beyonce, who are rumored to be more than a bit wary about the event being filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
“She thinks it’s just tacky,” a source tells RadarOnline.com of Queen Bey’s feelings about Kim’s big day. “She knows she’ll have to go to the wedding, but really does not to want to.”
So how will Kim and Kanye get pop’s reigning queen to bow down at the altar of their love? Reluctantly, and with her cell phone in her hand.
“The only reason Beyoncé is going to the wedding is because Jay is best friend’s with Kanye,” says a Kardashian insider. “There is no way Kanye would ever even dare to ask Jay or Beyonce to sign a non-disclosure agreement, or take away their cell phones.”
As for the rest of the guests? The normal pat-down procedures will apply.
“Guests will have to go through extensive security, even most of Kim and Kanye’s celebrity friends," says a source close to the couple. "Mobile devices will be held at a secure location, and if someone needs to use during the festivities, accommodations will be made, but a long way away from the festivities."
We’d normally say that sounds like a drag, but who are we kidding? The end-of-the night gift bag from these two will make a few hours away from a cell phone seem more than worth it.
Do you think Kim and Kanye should have their wedding filmed for KUWTK? Do you think Beyonce and Jay should have to abide by the rules for the rest of the guests?
