You can count supermodel Naomi Campbell among the list of people who aren't thrilled that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West landed on the latest cover of Vogue magazine.
Naomi, 43, appeared on Australian talk show The Morning Show recently, and she was asked how she felt about seeing Kimye on the cover, considering that Naomi herself has graced the mag's cover in the past.
"I do not want to comment," Naomi demurred at first. But when the talk show's host asked why she was staying silent, Naomi burst into laughter. And then she had quite a bit to say.
"I’m a fashion model, and I’ve been working for 28 years, and when you get a Vogue cover, it’s a build in your career, it's a stepping stone to achieve that," Naomi continues. "I'm a fashion model, so what more can I say?"
And when the host asks Naomi whether she thinks Kim and Kanye haven't done enough to earn the cover, Naomi cagily replies, "Those are your words — not mine. I’m being politically correct."
Yikes. Naomi may have been choosing her words carefully, but it's pretty clear that she was not happy about the cover. Sarah Michelle Gellar has also been critical of the cover.
Do you agree with Naomi that Kim and Kanye don't deserve the cover? Or is Naomi being too harsh?
