We’ve all heard the rumors that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are planning to tie the knot in Paris on May 24. Other than that, details of the wedding have been kept tightly under wraps. As a matter of fact, the couple want to keep their ceremony such a secret that they won’t even be telling their guests the location until after they’ve arrived in Paris!
All that being said, Kim and Kanye aren’t exactly the most discreet people in the world. So when the lovebirds touched down in Paris to put the finishing touches on their wedding, everyone was waiting to see which location they’d pay a visit to first.
According to an eyewitness, Kim made a rather suspicious stop at the Château Louis XIV on Sunday, April 13. The 33-year-old reality star had an hour-long meeting at the property, where she met with staff and walked around the grounds.
If this is indeed where Kim and Kanye plan to say “I do,” the ceremony is sure to be a treat for the 90 people invited to attend. The stunning mansion, which is located just about 30 minutes outside of Paris, boasts many features that are reproductions from the Palace of Versailles. (You know, the location that was reportedly the couple’s dream destination?)
The 54,000-square-foot palace is decorated with extensive gold leaf throughout the home, as well as 14 different kinds of rare marble sourced from around the globe. The mansion features a wine cellar, indoor racquetball court, swimming pool, massage room, nightclub, and home theater. Outside, the grounds boast lush topiaries and English-style gardens, which surround a reproduction of the Chariot of Apollo fountain from Versailles. Needless to say, we can understand why the property cost more than $200 million to develop!
We can totally see Kim and Kanye exchanging their vows at this breathtaking location. (They never do anything simple, after all!) Then again, Kim’s visit could have been all a plot to throw the paparazzi off. Guess we’ll just have to wait to find out!
