While there’s been plenty of buzz about whether or not Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have already made their union legal, Kim recently divulged that the two aren’t hitched yet. Now sources close to the celebrity couple claim it’s not floral arrangements or fittings that are holding up their happily ever after.
According to TMZ, the couple won’t be ready for their Parisian nuptials until one crucial detail is worked out: their prenup.
Kim, who is worth an estimated $40 million, and Kanye, who, according to reports, has $100 million to his name, are still hashing out the details of who will get what if the couple ends up splitting. With Kim’s history of failed marriages, who can blame them?
While unromantic talk about the division of assets reportedly came close to driving Kim and ex-husband Kris Humphries apart before the two had the chance to make things official, it seems as though the negotiations between Kim and Kanye remain civil.
Insiders claim that the prenup likely won’t be completed for another week, at which point the couple will be free to have their fantasy wedding.
Do you think it’s smart for Kim and Kanye to have a prenup, or does it show that they don’t trust one another?
