Kim Kardashian’s recent activist streak may be winning her points with some fans, but it wasn’t enough to get the Keeping Up With the Kardashians a spot rubbing elbows with the commander-in-chief at a recent event.
Following the ceremony for the USC Shoah Foundation’s “Ambassador for Humanity” award, of which President Obama was the recipient, Kim tried to get herself a spot near the president, but was quickly shut down.
“Kim’s table wasn’t close to President Obama’s,” reveals a source for RadarOnline.com.
After sending her people toward the president’s table to see if they could secure a meeting, “Kim’s lackey was told to go pound sand, and it was conveyed to Kim that she wouldn’t be able to meet him.”
While it seems like more than enough of a victory for Kim to find herself in the same room as the president at all, she was reportedly more than a little disappointed about Obama’s snub.
“She didn’t understand why she just couldn’t say hello to him,” reveals a Kardashian insider. “Ever since landing the Vogue cover, her ego is even more out of control. In her mind, she and Kanye are more popular than the President Obama and the First Lady!”
Are you surprised that President Obama wouldn’t meet with Kim, considering his usual celeb-friendliness?
