Apparently not everyone is a fan of the Kardashian clan.

Page Six is reporting the residents of Southampton are reportedly already annoyed, and the mayor of Southampton Village Mark Epley is complaining that producers have lied to him.

“The Kardashian producers told me they weren’t opening a store in Southampton, then 12 hours later they announced the store’s location,” Mark said to guests at party this past Saturday. “I called them and said, ‘You lied to me.’ They have got off on the wrong foot.”

The Kardashians — specifically Kourtney and Khloe — will be shooting their reality show in Southampton, which is the latest location of their clothing store Dash.

This isn’t the first time residents have voiced their concerns about the Kardashians coming to town. Earlier in May Page Six reported Hamptons locals want nothing to do with the reality stars.

“They have been looking at property on Little Plains Road in Southampton, and already the neighbors are up in arms about it," one source told Page Six. "They don’t want the hassle of the entourage, the cameras, the paparazzi and all the fanfare that comes with this attention-seeking family.”

The mayor is mostly concerned about traffic problems and public safety if the family creates a scene.

What do you think about the Southampton mayor’s claims that the Kardashian producers lied to him? Do you think they should have been more transparent about their plans, or do you think the community is right to want to keep the Kardashians out? Let us know in the comments below!
