Kim Kardashian “Felt Guilty For a Year” Following Kris Humphries Divorce

Kim Kardashian’s divorce from Kris Humphries may have seemed like a pretty clear-cut end to what many claim was no more than a business deal, but on Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim revealed that her split had taken a heavy toll on the reality star.

While discussing younger sister Khloe’s impending divorce from Lamar Odom, Kim opened up about her split from Kris and the emotional fallout it took on her.

I literally felt guilty for a year,” Kim told Khloe of her split.

Kim later admitted in a confessional scene that, despite her fondness for Lamar, she felt her sister had no choice but to end their marriage.

“As much as I love Lamar, it’s just so hard to see your sister live in this relationship where you don’t know when she’s going to speak to him next,” said Kim.

Despite Khloe’s agonizing over the divorce, Kim made it clear that trying to work on a relationship with Lamar wasn’t going to work for Khloe because of the former NBA star’s inability to meet her half way.

“We all love Lamar so much but…you’ve done every last thing that a person can do,” Kim told Khloe. “You can’t keep on going [to therapy] hoping that the other person’s going to show up.”

In the end, despite calling the process “torture to my soul,” Khloe finally pulled the plug and left Lamar — although, based on his recent statements, it may still take him a little time to realize that this time, she’s really not coming back.

Do you think Kim gave Khloe good advice about her marriage? Are you surprised that her breakup with Kris affected her so much?
