Lisa Vanderpump Calls Kim Richards’ Problems a “Sad Situation”
Kim Richards has been making headlines for the past few weeks following her numerous arrests, most recently for allegedly shoplifting at her local Target. Now her longtime Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, Lisa Vanderpump, is dishing on the former child star’s downward spiral.
"Well, I'm sorry Kim's not here because of the situation,” the reality star told Us Weekly at an event held at her restaurant, PUMP. “But I think her sobriety is more important than any reality show. And I think a lot of people recognize that fact and that's probably why she's not in this season.” Season 6 has reportedly already starting filming, with Erika Jayne rumored to be joining the cast.
While Lisa admitted she’s much closer to Kim’s sister Kyle Richards than the blonde reality star, she did add, “I’ve heard updates and stuff. But it's a sad situation."
Fellow RHOBH star Camille Grammer hasn’t spoken to Kim either, but at least she has a pretty good reason for the lack of communication. "I was on vacation in Hawaii. But I will reach out to her soon," she said. “I mean, I feel bad for Kim. My thoughts and prayers are with her and I support her and I just want her to know I'm here for her if she needs anything."
After Kim’s shoplifting arrest, a rumor started that she was living in her car. She was then reportedly placed under psychiatric hold by family members and before her stint in jail, the Bravo personality had finished a stint in rehab.
Although Kim isn’t coming back to RHOBH, it’s great she still has the support of her former castmates.
