Kim Zolciak Defends Letting Son Kash, 4, Hold a Gun

Kim Zolciak came under fire this week after she revealed her 4-year-old son Kash is allowed to hold his father’s gun.

The Don’t Be Tardy star is now trying to clarify her shocking admission — and basically defend it.

The mom of six has a simple explanation as to why it’s cool little Kash has brandished a firearm — the gun is “never” loaded when the tyke holds it, Kim tells TMZ.

If that’s not enough, the Bravolebrity has an even longer defense of her parenting skills.

“[Kash] is not shooting it, and we have a huge safe that we put the gun in,” the 38-year-old explains.

But, what if Kim and Kroy Biermann’s son manages to get inside the safe?

Kash’s momma has an answer for that too, saying the guns — yes, plural, apparently — in the safe are, “not loaded as well."

It sounds like this is the last Kim will say on the topic after starting all this drama with one simple and shocking Snapchat photo.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum was hit with her latest backlash when she shared a questionnaire Kash had written out about his dad.

One fill-in section on the apparent assignment was, “I love [my dad] because...”

The celebrity son gave a totally unexpected answer.

Kash apparently responded, “Because he lets me hold his real gun.”

The declaration was clearly approved by an adult in the Zolciak-Biermann household, since 99 percent of the questionnaire was filled out by someone with grown-up penmanship.

If that admission isn’t jaw-dropping enough, there’s another fact on the page that really has us scratching our heads.

When asked how old football-playing Kroy is, an adult wrote in “51,” as opposed to the athlete’s actual age of 31.

Despite seeing all of these bizarre and worrisome words on one page, Kim still wrote, “I [heart] this” on Snapchat.
