Season 3 of Kim Zolciak’s show, Don’t Be Tardy, debuted on July 17 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, and while we were beyond excited for the triumphant return of the Real Housewives of Atlanta spin-off, how many people actually tuned in for the big premiere? Keep reading to find out!

According to BravoRatings.com, the Season 3 kick-off of Don’t Be Tardy pulled in an impressive 1.1 million viewers, 620,000 of them in the coveted 18-49 demographic. By comparison, the third season of Bethenny Ever After only garnered 971,000 total viewers, so we’d say our Kimmie is in good shape. It also probably didn’t hurt that the DBT Season 3 opener featured the twins’ dramatic entrance into the world.


However, while Kim and DBT easily surpassed Bethenny, the DBT ratings were actually down from last season. The 1.1 million people who tuned in last Thursday actually represents a 3 percent decline in overall viewership compared to the Season 2 opener last summer, and a 20 percent decrease when compared to Don’t Be Tardy’s series premiere back in 2012.

This ratings news may be a mixed bag for Kim and her crew, but they still have plenty to be proud of. Plus, we’re fairly confident that Don’t Be Tardy will pick up steam as the season goes on.
