“It’s fun for me, I’ve never really played a character that people don’t like so much. I get a lot of stuff on Twitter with people saying, ‘You psychotic bitch,’ and stuff like that,” Kimberly exclusively told Wetpaint Entertainment at the 5th Annual African Children’s Choir Gala on November 21. “It just means I’m doing my job. It’s not really me, so it’s kind of fun to play a messed up character.”
Unfortunately Kimberly’s on-screen counterpart seems to have bit the dust in the latest episode of Nashville. In Season 2, Episode 10 — “Tomorrow Never Comes,” Peggy and her new hubby, Teddy Conrad (Eric Close) are leaving a music festival when Teddy’s ex-wife, Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) wants to chat with him alone for a moment. As Teddy’s heading back to his car, he is attacked by a random concert goer and quickly realizes that the man has already attacked Peggy, leaving her life in the balance as we head into the winter hiatus.
And while Peggy is most likely dead (we’re almost positive of it), maybe that means fans can forgive her dastardly ways. Not only did Peggy fake a pregnancy with Teddy, but fans hold her accountable for breaking up Teddy and our beloved Rayna. So, sure, she was a lying homewrecker, but can we forgive her now?
What do you think? Can you forgive Peggy now that she’s (probably) dead or do you just love to hate her? Hit the comments and let us know!
