Kit Harington and Rose Leslie Are Not Engaged (UPDATE)
UPDATE (7/21/2017 2:18 p.m. ET): To paraphrase Ygritte, you know nothing, Life & Style.
Kit’s rep tells Gossip Cop he has not yet proposed and the story is “fabricated.”
Read on for more details on these Game of Thrones stars’ relationship — and for Life & Style’s fairy tale!
The latest gossip is that the on- and off-screen lovers are engaged!
Read on for all the details… and to judge the rumors for yourself.
After dating on and off for about four years, Kit and Rose made their public debut at the Olivier Awards in April 2016.
So are wedding bells really in their future?
“Kit recently cooked Rose a romantic candlelight dinner and proposed to her,” a source tells Life & Style Magazine.
“She burst into tears and immediately said yes!”
Bear in mind, of course, Life & Style is a tabloid — so take this scoop with some extra scoops of salt.
We’re hoping it’s all true, though, especially because the mag makes the wedding sound beautiful…
Life & Style claims the couple will get married at her family’s castle — yes, her family has a castle — in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
“It will be a traditional Scottish wedding with kilts and bagpipes,” the source continues. “They aren’t into the whole Hollywood scene at all.”
Until the big date — if there really is one — it sounds like Kit and Rose are enjoying some downtime before getting back to work on Game of Thrones Season 8 and The Good Fight Season 2, respectively.
“They both love spending their free time having friends over for dinner parties or cuddling up on the couch,” the source continues.
In a recent appearance on The Late Late Show, Kit told James Corden all about Rose moving in with him.
“I said, ‘Look, darling, it’s important that this is our space, that this feels like our space, that you haven’t just moved into mine. Move anything you want around, change anything, chuck anything out,” the 30-year-old said.
“I went to the shops, and I came back, and I said, ‘So what did you decide?’ [Laughs] And she looked up and went, ‘We’re moving the kitchen downstairs.’”
If this Jon Snow portrayer did get down on bended knee, Rose might have Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman to thank.
Nicole was also a guest on that episode of The Late Late Show, and she pressured Kit to pop the question.
“I just think it’s kind of nice, if you’re going to live together, maybe to at least get engaged,” the Big Little Lies star said.
There is, at least, one quote from that Life & Style source that we believe without a doubt:
“They’re best friends and are constantly making each other laugh.”
May it ever be so!
