Kit Harington isn't exactly out of shape as Jon Snow on Game of Thrones, but the English heartthrob took his bod to a whole new level in big budget action flick Pompeii, which opened today, February 21, 2014.

As you can see in the pic above, Kit really muscled up to play his gladiator character, Milo. Muscled up — and stripped down. It's nice to see Kit out of those heavy winter clothes, for once! And seriously, he has arms to rival Gendry's in this flick.

As you can see in the screencap to the left, Kit's arms aren't the only muscles he worked on for this flick — his sixpack is freaking incredible now!

How did Kit achieve this body transformation? Hitting the gym, of course. Hitting the gym a lot.

“It was what we called gladiator camp, four weeks prior to the start of the movie," Kit's co-star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje recently explained. "It consisted of four hours a day of workouts: two hours of intense fight training with swords and weaponry, an hour of weight training, then another hour of cardio, and that was covered with an 1,800-calorie diet, which was brutal."
