Kordell Stewart Says He Didn’t Owe Porsha Money Because… She Didn’t Pay Her Taxes?
Tonight’s March 9 episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta offered some behind-the-scenes details on Porsha Stewart and now ex-husband Kordell's lengthy divorce. And those juicy tidbits come courtesy of Kordell himself!
Cynthia Bailey’s hubby Peter Thomas met with the former Househusband to get the real story behind the breakup. One of the things that Kordell says caused this divorce to stay in limbo for so long — 22 months to be exact! — is that Porsha wanted “some things that she can’t get.” is he talking about money?!
Kordell confirms that there was no prenup, which Porsha has always maintained. But when Peter asks Kordell if he still has love for his now-ex, the former NFL player says there are more practical issues at stake.
“There’s love, but then there’s also business,” Kordell reveals. “There’s a law in the state of Georgia that talks separate property. Because she didn’t pay her taxes, she lost the condo. Through that process of her not being able to be responsible, her name didn’t go on this house. And being that her name didn’t go on anything, I’m good.”
Wait a second, Porsha didn’t pay her taxes? And she never had her name on any of her and Kordell’s property? That’s a lot of info to drop in one conversation. But it may explain why this divorce dragged on for so long...
However, there’s three sides to every story: his, hers, and the truth. We’d love to hear Miss Porsha respond to these allegations!
