Daddy knows best! In a new interview with funny lady Ellen DeGeneres, Kardashian step-patriarch Bruce Jenner opened up about stepdaughter Kim Kardashian’s failed marriage – and what he advises her to do differently next time.

Momager Kris Jenner, also gracing Ellen’s stage, admitted she doesn’t always question her children’s decisions, but that sentiment didn’t set well with Papa Bruce, who immediately interjected: “Maybe we should start questioning some of their decisions,” referring to Kim’s decision to marry NBA star Kris Humphries after a six-month whirlwind romance.

While Bruce thinks Kim went into her marriage with good intentions, he believes she quickly realized something wasn’t right. “I think once she got into it, she realized this is not going to work,” Bruce admitted. “And she knew she was going to take the heat. If it ended in 72 days or three years from now, she would've taken the heat.”

Turns out, the former Olympian says he had an inkling things might not work out for Kim and Kris, but he felt it wasn’t his place to intervene.

Bruce says he now has a very different, more proactive view on Kim’s love life. Although he respected the reality princess’ decision to call it quits with her hoopster hub, he does admit he’s learned an important lesson from all this: "The next guy's got to go through me," he said.
