Kris Jenner on Watching Her Marriage Deteriorate on TV: “It’s So Crazy Painful”
The Kardashian family is known for allowing cameras to capture pretty much everything that goes on in their lives, but now Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner is seeing how difficult it can be to watch the realities of her marital woes on the small screen.
"I watch it back and I'm like, 'Oh my God, I can't watch,'" Kris told Us Magazine. "It's so crazy painful that I can't watch it."
As documented on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kris’s marriage to former Olympian Bruce Jenner hasn’t exactly been going swimmingly. The momager chose to see her ex-lover, Todd Waterman, in secret. (Todd, it should be noted, is the same man who broke up Kris’s first marriage to Robert Kardashian Jr.) Kris told Bruce about the meeting after the fact, and he freaked out.
"What an idiot you are!" Bruce told her. "I don't know how I can trust you!" Kris didn’t fare any better with her daughters, who took Bruce’s side. Kourtney even went so far as to call Kris a “little whore.”
While Kris is having a hard time watching everything that's happened, it appears that hasn’t changed her focus on creating enthralling TV. According to Hollywood Life, the Kardashian matriarch has agreed to seek couples therapy with her hubby, although she reportedly won’t sit on the therapist’s couch unless the cameras are present.
“Kris has agreed to go to couple’s therapy to make Bruce happy,” a source told Hollywood Life. “But she wants the sessions to be taped for Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Bruce thinks it’s ridiculous but will go along with it as long as it motivates her to go to therapy with him. He really loves Kris and doesn’t trust her with Todd!”
Made-for-TV therapy doesn’t necessarily seem like a relationship cure-all, but crazier things have worked for the Kardashian fam in the past! Even without the couples therapy, things seem to be getting a bit better for our favorite TV mom and dad.
"Bruce and I are okay and that's all that matters,” the Kardashian matriarch told Us Magazine.
