La La and Carmelo Anthony “Living Separately For Several Months Now”: Report

Um, does La La Anthony really taste like Honey Nut Cheerios?  
 
That’s not a question we ever thought we’d be asking ourselves. But apparently La La’s husband, New York Knicks hot shot Carmelo Anthony, almost came to blows on the court with Boston Celtics player Kevin Garnett recently after he told Carmelo exactly that: “Your wife tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.”

According to the New York Daily News, Melo nearly lost it after that low blow, because things between him and his wife have reportedly hit a rough patch. At the time of the cheerios incident, La La had been living with a friend in Miami for two months, and the paper went so far as to call the couple “estranged.”

Still, the reality star managed to make joke about the blowout, tweeting, “Not for nothing, but we ALL deserve a check or some free cereal 4all the publicity we’ve given Honey Nut Cheerios! LOL #cantbelieveeverything.”

La La has since come back to New York, though there are reports that sailing is still anything but smooth in the Anthony household.

“It is true they haven’t seen much of each other in the past few months,” a friend of the couple told the New York Post. “They are not separated and are still together.”

But other sources say the situation is much more dire than La La and Melo are letting on.

“They have been living separately for several months now,” one insider said. “She’s been living in LA while Carmelo has been in New York. La La used to go out to the games and wanted to be seen...now she’s always off doing her own thing.”
