Full name: Kristen Mary Jenner (née Houghton, previously Kardashian)
Date of birth: November 5, 1955
Hometown: San Diego, California
Currently resides in: Hidden Hills, California
Profession: Reality star, entrepreneur, expert "momager"
Husband: Bruce Jenner is her second husband; they've been married since 1991. She was previously married to attorney Robert Kardashian Sr., but they divorced in 1990.
Children: Kourtney Kardashian (born 1979), Kim Kardashian (born 1980), Khloé Kardashian (born 1984), and Robert Kardashian Jr. (born 1987), all with her first husband; daughters Kendall Jenner (born 1995) and Kylie Jenner (born 1997), both with Bruce. She is also stepmother to Bruce's four children from his two previous marriages, including Malibu "princes" Brandon and Brody Jenner.
Bet you didn't know... Kris grew up in a single-parent household with her sister Karen. (Their parents divorced when Kris was 7, so their mom raised them.) Kris stayed faithful to her mom's love of the letter K, but she certainly didn't settle for a small family!
Spunky, strong, sassy, bright, funny, diplomatic, and loving, Kris Jenner is the matriarch — and "momager" — of the Kardashian clan. She is married to Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner (they tied the knot in 1991), and she's the ex-wife of the late attorney Robert Kardashian Sr. (they divorced in 1989). She has six biological children and four stepchildren.
Kris was good friends with the late Nicole Brown, who was brutally murdered in 1994 along with her friend Ronald Goldman. Kris's then-ex-husband Robert represented Brown's ex-husband O.J. Simpson when he went on trial for the crimes (and was subsequently acquitted). The fact that Kardashian represented Simpson put a lot of strain on the family, which is something her daughters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé discuss in their New York Times bestselling memoir Kardashian Konfidential. Kris harbored a lot of anger and resentment toward Rob Sr. up until his untimely death in 2003.
Family drama aside, Kris is one helluva businesswoman. Beyond managing her husband's motivational speaking tour, Kris co-owns the DASH clothing boutiques in Calabasas, New York City, and Miami with her three oldest girls and manages their careers. The bonus? She gets a 10 percent cut of whatever they make, which is a lot! She's also an executive producer on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and she had a fitness video back in the '90s. (That last one isn’t her most memorable achievement...)
As savvy as she is in business, Kris identifies herself first and foremost as a wife and mother.
