Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Won’t Last, Says Kris Humphries’s Dad

Since news broke Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are getting hitched, Kim’s exes have been (surprisingly) quiet about what they think of their former gal pal walking down the aisle. Of course, the last time she donned an all-white gown, Kim said “I do” to NBA player Kris Humphries. While Kris has kept quiet about any feelings he may have about the news, his dad has plenty to say.

“I don’t really care, it’s water under the bridge. But I wish her all best,” Kris’s father, William Humphries, tells New York Daily News of his feelings about his former daughter-in-law remarrying.

William wasn’t quite so diplomatic when it came to the ring Kanye gave to Kim. The 15-carat stunner was designed by Lorraine Schwartz, the same jeweler behind the ring Kris gave Kim on bended knee (see how the two compare). William doubts Kanye even picked the little number out himself.

“[Kanye] probably didn’t choose it,” he says, perhaps alluding to rumors Kim picked out her own ring. “Does a leopard really change its spots? I don’t think so. Not much changes, it’s just different actors this time around,” he says. We take it William isn’t a fan of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Nor, it would seem, of recently separated couple Kris and Bruce Jenner. When asked if he thinks Kimye’s marriage will last longer than Kim and Kris’s infamous 72 days of wedded something or other, William replies: “Well, if Bruce and Kris are any indication, I’d say good luck. She’s stepping right into it all over again.” Hey, third time’s the charm, right?

As of October 22, William says he and Kris hadn’t spoken of the engagement news but he doubted his son minded much at all: “I’m sure he doesn’t think about that stuff anymore. He’s getting ready to play.” Chalk it up to another match of love and basketball.
