Despite announcing her separation from Bruce Jenner, her husband of 22 years, earlier this week, Kris Jenner seems to be doing pretty well.
The couple, who both have estimated net worths of over $100 million, could be spending their time arguing over money and splitting up vacation homes, but instead, they’re being kind to one another in the press, spending time with their family, and holding off on saying it’s officially over just yet.
Kris spoke to People about the split, explaining to the magazine that it wasn’t their demanding reality TV careers, or even a lack of love that drove the couple apart.
"I don't think it was the pace of life. We've always gone 150 miles per hour, and Bruce has more energy than anybody," she says. "I just think it has evolved. I really can't put my finger on it. We're just happier now."
The pair, who have been living separately for some time now — a plot point captured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians — say that they have had a better relationship since they decided to give each other some breathing room, and still have no plans to file for divorce.
"There was definitely a shift in the way we treated each other," she reveals. "We will always be the best of friends, because that's the dynamic of our relationship. We definitely get along as a family and with the kids; we're so connected in that way. We love each other."
"It's a very wonderful dynamic It's just not something that's real negative and nasty. I love really hard, and the people that I have in my life that I love will always be in my life forever. It's ultimately like one big happy family."
