Glee First Listen: Kurt and Blaine’s Romantic “Just The Way You Are” Duet
The introduction of Adam Lambert’s character Starchild on Glee has us feeling all sorts of conflicted. On the one hand, we adore Adam Lambert. His character is fantastic. His voice is stellar. But on the other hand, these song spoilers we’re hearing about an upcoming romantic duet between Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Starchild make us very worried.
Kurt just got engaged to Blaine (Darren Criss). He and Blaine are in love. And no one, not even Adam Lambert, is allowed to threaten that.
We still don’t know what the future holds for Kurt and Blaine later this season, but we know that, at least for this week, Kurt’s focus will be fully on Blaine. Starchild isn’t coming back until Episode 7, and during this Thursday’s GleeSeason 5, Episode 6: “Movin’ Out,” Blaine will be making the trip to NYC to visit his fiancé.
Once they’re reunited in the Big Apple, Kurt and Blaine will sing a romantic duet of Billy Joel’s “Just the Way You Are.”
Okay, so technically they’re not the only ones singing. Rachel (Lea Michele), Santana (Naya Rivera), and Sam (Chord Overstreet) also chime in but we do hear Kurt and Blaine duet on lyrics like, “I would not leave you in times of trouble / We never could have come this far / I took the good times, I'll take the bad times / I'll take you just the way you are.”
Yes. Yes. All of this. We just want Kurt and Blaine to be happy. And in love. Forever. And we don’t want anything — or anyone — to get in the way of that.
